Such a discouraging experience at this store. We intentionally came to Georgia Square Mall to support local businesses, but unfortunately, this visit missed the mark.
From the moment my mother, my two daughters, and I walked in, the tone felt off. There were multiple signs warning customers not to touch items and stating a $100 charge for trying on dresses improperly, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. The owner also made comments like asking if we only liked a dress because it was 50% off, which came across as dismissive.
My 14-year-old daughter tried on several dresses and found one she liked. However, at $229 before tax for a short semi-formal dress, I let the owner know we wanted to think about it. After that, the interaction shifted noticeably. We were told she had missed a concert to stay open for us, which felt like an attempt to pressure us into buying.
As we were leaving, the conversation turned to the store’s surveillance and past shoplifting incidents, including mentioning a specific situation involving another customer. This added to an already uncomfortable experience.
As someone with a background in sales, I truly believe customer experience matters. Creating a welcoming, respectful environment goes much further than pressure or intimidation tactics.
For context, we ended up purchasing the same dress from another boutique for $149 and it will arrive in just a few days. That dress will come in new never opened and with a shawl for $80+ cheaper!! Please see attached receipt showing the 149 charge plus that was including all fees/tax, etc.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Supporting small businesses is important to us, but the experience itself has to feel positive and respectful.

Came in today to get a dress for my daughters first prom and the selection is excellent. The service was top notch. My daughter is shy and the ladies running the store made her feel confident and helped bring her out of her shell and find her perfect dress. We will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful dresses. Sales are great. Got 2 dresses for cheap but they were worth hundreds. Jenny was so helpful. She stayed with us, helping get each dress on and off. She looked for exactly what we needed. We are so happy we came to this store. Wil1 be coming back for wedding shopping.

Our experience prom dress shopping was amazing! The store offers a variety of styles and colors. My daughter found a dress she really loved but they did not have the color in her size. The staff could tell she loved the first dress dress. But they gave her the needed attention to try on a few others but she really had her heart set on this particular dress and color. She was able to try on the same style dress, different color and my daughter fell even more in love with the dress. So the staff said she would call her retailer on Monday and see if she could order it for us in the size and color she wanted. We checked with the store on Monday to see if she could order it and luckily she was able order it. It arrived in less than a week. When we went on 3/14 to pick it up the staff allowed us to try it on and make sure we didn't need to alert it. We are very pleased with the staff, the variety of options and that this store is local!
